CSI Seagrass Initiative logoEveryone from school children, sailors, canoeists, divers, kayakers and even internet users are encouraged to get involved and help collect vital data to aid the mapping and surveying of seagrass meadows along the south coast.


Conservation of the seagrass habitat is extremely important to help maintain biodiversity in our seas. Seagrass provides a valuable nursery ground for many fish species: it is home to enigmatic creatures such as the seahorse and it helps provide a stable environment in which to live
